Marú is a singer-songwriter from Bucharest (RO). After years of songwriting for several artists, Maru releases her first single “The Richest Girl In Town” in March 2018.

This all came to life after all the experience she gathered studying classical music and popular music from the age of 7 till her Bachelor Degree and Master Degree, both in Austria at the “Music and Arts University” in Vienna.

“Music has been my soul companion for as long as I remember. It was the only way sincere enough to communicate and it helped me grow up.

My passion led me to Vienna where I could finally accomplish my dream of being a musician. Beside studying classical guitar, I always knew there is much more to music, or at least my music. At the beginning it was just for fun – putting together my own thoughts and my feelings to create a totally new world, but as time went on I was able to put into music all those emotions I couldn’t bring up through words; and all this soul searching formed me as a songwriter.”

After the release of her first EP in June 2018, Marú is preparing her first album. “I am excited to share my music with the world. Music should be simple and sincere; I want the people to feel that. I think this world needs love, romance and laughter and joy.”
